Hydronephrosis is an enlargement or Swelling of one or both kidneys. Swelling of the kidney occurs when urine is unable to drain from a kidney, leading to its accumulation. This condition can arise either due to a blockage in the ureters, the tubes responsible for draining urine from the kidneys, or from a structural abnormality that that doesn't allow urine to drain properly.
Conservative treatment usually involves identifying and addressing the underlying cause of Swollen Kidney (hydronephrosis), such as urinary tract infections (UTI), kidney stones, or tumors. This may also include antibiotics to treat infections, allopathy medications to reduce symptoms, or surgical procedures to remove blockages or correct anatomical defects.
Ayurvedic treatment, on the other hand, focuses on restoring balance in the body's doshas or energies using various natural treatments to promote overall health and well-being. Ayurvedic treatments may include specific treatments such as lifestyle modifications, herbal remedies, dietary adjustments, and Panchakarma (a detoxification process). These natural treatments focus not only on reducing the symptoms but also address the root cause of the disease by enhancing kidney function and promoting urine flow.
